I purchased several of your sculptures many years ago and I still have them hanging inside and outside. I also bought several of them as gifts. They are lovely. I have a magnificent garden and would not put anything in my garden that didn’t look great. I have recently purchased three more as gifts because my daughter-in-law said how much she admired them. Expensive look at a reasonable price.

I don’t like the stain added. I have others that have no stain and the picture on your web site does not show it either.

Several years ago, George Carruth determined a stain would enhance the detail of the sculptures so he and the artisans developed a staining process. Each stone is stained by hand and potentially by different artisans which makes each piece unique. It's been many years since any stones were made without the stain and sounds as though your Carruth collection is somewhat rare. If you intend to place the Garden Smile outdoors, his color might lighten with time (or darken) depending on the climate.
Didn’t tell my husband I was ordering it. Took out of the box and he said “that’s cool!” Hung it on our tree and he said “order another one!”
It came packaged very securely.
