My wife was disappointed with it so we are returning it for a refund to our account. It is in transit as I write this. The quality and smoothness of the detailed areas was not up to par with the pieces my wife has collected in the past which is why we are returning it. Customer service was nice but not very helpful in answering her question about whether the casting process has changed over the years which could possibly cause the roughness in texture she noticed immediately in this new piece.

Hi Glenn, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear the piece didn't meet your expectations. Without knowing the other pieces in your wife's collection, it's difficult to explain why the texture is different. We can tell you the artists techniques vary by design, and the textures are generally, intentionally different from sculpture to sculpture.
We understand the actual detail in the artwork isn't always clear in the website photography which is why we offer refunds. If your wife has any questions regarding future purchases, she is welcome to call us, and we'll help any way we can. We will look for your return and apply the credit to your account. Thanks again for your input.

This was a birthday gift for a dear friend. She didn’t open it until almost midnight due to a late work deadline, but she was so excited she was looking for its location in her NYC apartment right away. ☺️

I purchased two and sent them to friends and family across the county, to New Mexico and New York. They both indicated that they liked them. Thank you.
